On MusicplayOnline (Beta) we use class codes to give students access to the materials. Class codes are directly linked to your teacher account so if your account expires the class code also expires. Students should not be signing up with individual accounts on MusicplayOnline (Beta), if they sign up as an educator their account will expire in 15 days.
How to Generate your Class Code for Beta?
- Go to the Dashboard (https://beta.musicplayonline.com/account/)
- Select Class Code
- The first time you select it, it will prompt you to “Generate class code”
- Your class code will have 1 letter followed by 6 numbers
- The letter is not case sensitive
- This class code will be your class code for as long as you are a subscriber
- You can’t change your class code
- Copy a link to any learning object and your access code will be embedded into the link
Sending a Link
- Navigate to what you want to share. For this example, I want to share the Solfa Challenge for Pass the Stick so I opened it up and this is the URL I got: https://beta.musicplayonline.com/songs/pass-the-stick-3/?my_access_code=EXAMPLE&modal=interactive-https-beta-musicplayonline-com-activities-solfa__note-activities-solfa_activities-exercises-05006_pass_the_stick-pass_the_stick-html
- Copy the page’s URL and send it to your students
- When your students click on it, they will be brought to the student login with the access code already filled in
- Students will click on “Access some fun” and will be brought directly to the Solfa Challenge you selected
*Note: Your access code will have 1 letter and 6 numbers
