Overview
One kid – or several – have dreams of being stars on Broadway. (On Broadway.) Everybody tells them it will never happen. (When I Grow Up). Another group of cast members absolutely do not want to grow up. (I Won’t Grow Up). The dreamers friends encourage them to have the courage to chase their dreams. (Seize The Day) The dreamers have grave doubts about whether they are good enough; they have their tap shoes, their dance clothes, their greasepaint, etc, but they are missing one thing. (You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.) They finally reach Broadway and all of the folks who are already there welcome them to the Broadway family. (Consider Yourself). They realize that they may not immediately get to be a Broadway star, but they are here in this magical place, a place where everyone has a role. This is what Broadway is all about. When the world catches up to Broadway, the world could be as beautiful as a Broadway show. (Brand New Day!)
