Listen and sing the song "Open Shut Them"
Teach this song by rote or immersion.
Sing and move to the song "Open Shut Them".
Watch the teacher and the kids in the video and copy their movements.

Watch the video of "Loud and Quiet Sounds".
Play the video and pause after each sound. Have the students identify the sound and tell you if it is a loud or a quiet sound.
Can the students think of more sounds that are loud and quiet?
Listen to the poem "Way up High in the Apple Tree".
Play it again, and say the poem.
Do the movement for the poem "Way up High in the Apple Tree"
Watch the kids in the video do the actions. Try saying and doing the actions!
Watch the kids move to "Turkey Tango" and try the movements!
Review the "Counting Song".
You can use this song to reinforce a steady beat. Students could accompany the song with a C-G solid bordun or accompany with unpitched instruments. You could have students play the number words on one instrument and the action words on another.
