Adapt the game for Zoom: invite one child to run back and forth in front of their device camera while you sing the song. The rest of the class counts how many times they saw the "turkey."

Adapt the game for in-person: Go outside and play the chase game as a race game. Some teachers have been allowed to use a pool noodle to "tag" kids with. If you have enough noodles so students do not have to share, you could try the game as a chase game.

In the Thanksgiving Unit there are several activities for Grade 3:
1. teach the song, "We are Thankful Children"
- you could teach this song in place of #25, 26, or 30
2. Thanksgiving Wishes poem
- there are two options for creating an accompaniment. a) note highlights and b) ostinato
3. Word Rhythm Activity using Thanksgiving words. The first uses just 2 words, the second uses more words. Choose the activity that fits best with your students reading level
