Option 1: Review the rhythm band accompaniment for Dona Nobis
Practice all parts.
Review the play along with the song, "Dona Nobis Pacem"
At Home: Try playing all 4 parts.
In-Person: Divide the class into 4 groups and try playing this all together.
Option 2: Review the bucket drum parts for, "Nothing but Peace"
Find something to use for a bucket: an ice cream or laundry bucket, a big bowl or a cardboard box.
Find something to use for sticks - a pair of wooden spoons, or pair of spoons
Learn to play part one. This is played with verse 1.
Practice this pattern until you are confident. This first pattern is tricky!
Replay the video as needed.
Review part two. This is played with verse 2.
Practice this pattern until you are confident.

In the Thanksgiving Unit there are several activities for Grade 5:
1. teach the song, “We are Thankful Children”
2. Thanksgiving Wishes poem
- there are two options for creating an accompaniment.
- student worksheets are available for this
a) note highlights and b) ostinato
3. Word Rhythm Activity using Thanksgiving words. The first uses just 2 words, the second uses more words. Choose the 2nd activity for 5th grade.
