8 Walking in the farmyard

Learn to sing the song. (listen to a line, pause the video, then have students echo)
Put animal pictures (or stuffed animals) on a round table or in a circle on the floor.
The children sing the first 2 lines of the song as they walk around the animals
Stop, then choose a child to pick one. The child sings "I see a ______" and the class echoes.
If you have a large class, have 2-3 more children choose animals and sing what they see.
Sing again.
Put the animals back in the circle and continue until all children have had a turn.

Animals cards are found in supporting activities.
An extension of this activity is to create word rhythm patterns with the animal cards.
