Read and clap all the music room rhythms.
Choose 4 of the rhythms and create body percussion to go with them.
Use the 5th rhythm as either an ostinato or an ending.
Can you create some new rhythms with ideas for how to make music class the best ever?
If you have bucket drums use them.
If you don't have bucket drums other options include:
- use rhythm sticks and play on the floor
- pat on your legs - be creative!
Practice this sticking:
Pattern 1: R l RL RL
Play Pattern 1 on top, top, rim-rim, rim-rim then play it on top, top, side-side, side-side
Pattern 2: RL LR sh R-L
Play pattern 2: top-top, top-rim sh top rim
Mr. Frank will teach the pattern in the video.
Slow it down as needed.
Create your own body percussion or bucket drum patterns and play them with the audio that is given.
Include some half notes (2 beats) and whole notes (4 beats) in your creation.
