In this lesson, you will learn:
Sing the echoes in the "Hello Song."
Listen to the song and the movements that the words suggest.
Give half the class sticks and half drums. (substitute as needed)
You could also have students click sticks when sticks are shown, then drum on the floor when the drum is shown.
Divide the class into 2 teams or play teacher vs students.
Sing the song.
Sing again, with the # of days you have in your school until vacation!
There are 15+ songs in this module and all are ones students really like.
This week we’ll sing some songs that you could sing around the campfire or on a road trip with your family!
Another option for the last classes of the school year is Request and Review.
Look at the song list for Grade 1, and have students till what their favorite songs/games were.
Make a list and sing/play as many as you have time for.
Listen to one verse.
Play the video again and sing along.
Create movements to go with the song.
Sing along with the kids demo.
Listen to the one verse.
Then play the video again and sing along!
Using the worksheet, or if you want to save paper and ink, use any paper you have, create a new verse, and then draw a picture of what is happening in your verse!
Listen to a verse of the song.
Play the video again and sing along!
There is a template to create a child illustrated mini-book of the song in supporting resources.
This option is very useful for in-person classes when singing is not allowed.
Listen to the song as you illustrate.
