Watch how the Kids play the game for "Old Dog Full of Fleas."

Adapt the game.

Virtual: The teacher should hide a plastic bug (flea) under one of three cups. As the kids sing the song, move the cups around. At the end of the song, invite the students to guess which cup it's under.

in-person: form a large spaced out circle. Choose one child to go into the middle to be the "guesser." Sing or play the recording. The teacher points to each child on the beat. The one at the end of the song is the one who has the pretend flea. The child in the middle guesses who had the flea. Pointing with a flashlight works well.
