- learn about a lullaby and sing softly
- #104 “Heebie Jeebies” – sing and do movements with a stuffed animal to the song
- watch “Finale” from Carnival of the Animals, then move to the music, do the worksheet
- optional – link to full performance of “Carnival of the Animals”

1 Sing the "Hello Song"
Sing the "Hello Song."
In the spaces, put your students names.
2 Do Body Percussion
Do the body percussion shown in the video.
3 Create Your own Body Percussion
Cut out the cards in supporting resources. (or draw your own)
Create 4 or 8 beat body percussion patterns.
Try your own body percussion patterns with the music in activity 2.
4 Learn About the Coqui
A coquí is a very small frog that is found in Puerto Rico.
At night it makes a sound like “coqui, coqui, coqui.”
5 Listen to "El Coqui"
Listen to the song "El Coqui" and rock your stuffed animal to sleep.
6 Listen to the Sound a Coqui Makes
Listen to the sound a Coqui makes!
7 Watch Dora the Explorer Learn to "The Coqui Song"
Dora the Explorer met a little frog that sings the last part of the song.
Watch the video.
8 Listen and Sing to "El Coqui"
Play "El Coqui" again and rock your stuffed animal.
Can you sing the last part of the song with the frog sounds?
9 Review "Oats and Beans and Barley Grow"
Do you remember the words to "Oats and Beans and Barley Grow"?
Sing along with the video.
10 Review the Movements for "Oats and Beans and Barley Grow"
Can you sing and do the movements for "Oats and Beans and Barley Grow"?
11 Dance with Stuffed Animals to "Heebie Jeebies"
Listen to the video and dance with your stuffed animal.
You might want to dance with more than one stuffy!
12 Listen to "Finale" from Carnival of the Animals
Listen and watch for places in the music where one animal returns, and places where all the animals march in a parade
13 Optional: Do the "Finale" Worksheet
If you have a printer, print and complete the Finale worksheet.
If you've done all the worksheets, you can make a booklet of the Carnival of the Animals.
