The video will show drums, sticks and triangles.
Substitute as needed.

Copy LinkUse this song to teach the solfa notes so and mi. If you don’t teach your students solfa notes, use the song to have the students show you the high and low sounds. Have the students show the higher and lower notes of "No Robbers" with arm motions as you sing the song, or play the video for them. Play the game.

Game Directions:
The students (x) stand in two lines. The robber catchers (rc) are in the center of the alley, and the four robbers (r) at the end of the alley. The lines of students should stand apart, just a little more than the arms width of the robber catcher. The robber catcher is going to try to tag the robber as they sneak down the alley. The robber catcher must keep eyes closed and may bend only at the waist. The robber catcher may not move their feet, but can move their upper body and arms and may bend in any direction. While the song is sung one to two times, the four robbers try to sneak past the catchers to the other end of the alley. Choose a new robber catcher and robbers each time. You could time and keep score of which robber catcher is the fastest to catch a robber, or you can just play for fun.

If students have not been taught solfa, use the song to prepare do re mi so la and teach the melody by rote.
