Copy LinkThis song is great for reviewing the rhythm pattern ti ta ti. Project Student Worksheet 4: Rhythm Reading Practice. This worksheet reviews rhythms beginning with very simple rhythms and progressing to more complex rhythms. Review the pattern ti ta ti, this is exercise 9. When the students can read the exercise correctly, have them read the rhythms in Mango Walk.
Mango Walk uses repeats with first and second endings. The first time you sing, you take the first ending. Skip the first ending when you sing the second time and sing the second ending instead.
Review what a pickup note is. A pickup note is a note preceding the first complete measure of music. In this piece the pickup note is on beat four. Count 1 - 2 - 3 and then sing the pickup note.
