Vicki and Van were on a volleyball team. Their volleyball team was very good. Vicki and Van really liked to play volleyball. At the end of the season, their team was in first place. Their team had a good chance to win the gold medal. The coach told the team to try their very best.
“When you’ve done your best, you are a victor,” he said. All the parents wanted to video tape the big game. Then the kids could watch the game on TV.
Vicky and Van tried their very best. All the kids tried their very best and they won the game. They were victorious! Vicky and Van were very happy that they were the victors and won gold
medals. After the game was over, all the kids went to Vicky and Van’s house and watched a video of the game on TV. It was great to watch the victory!

Teach “The Farmer in the Dell”
Copy LinkListen to one verse. Play the video again and sing the whole song. Play the game (cards are in supporting resources if you want to print them and give to students in lieu of children choosing in the game. This saves time and hurt feelings).
Learn the game “The Farmer in the Dell”
Copy LinkOption 1: copy 1 set of the picture cards. Cut them out.
Give 1 card to each of 8 children.
Hand them out face down so you can't see what you're giving and they can't fuss about what they're getting. It's even more fun if ask the children to close their eyes while you give out the cards.
Sing and dramatize the game. The farmer starts and 'chooses' the child who's holding the wife card.
The wife 'chooses' the one holding the child card.
Option 2: copy a set of cards for all the students. Then, they sequence the cards as they listen to the song.
Teacher note: We don't have a kids demo for "Farmer in the Dell". If your students would like to see themselves on MusicplayOnline please review the submission requirements here: https://help.musicplay.ca/can-i-submit-a-kids-demo
